Efficiently Acquiring Machine Arms in NieR: Automata
NieR: Automata presents players with a substantial crafting system, requiring various materials to enhance weapons and pods. While many materials become readily available later, acquiring them early can significantly boost your character's strength. Machine Arms are a particularly rare crafting component. This guide outlines effective strategies for obtaining them.
Farming Machine Arms: Early Game Strategies
Machine Arms have a chance to drop from defeated small machines, regardless of type. However, the drop rate increases with enemy level, making them scarce early on. To maximize your chances, focus on quickly eliminating numerous machines.
Post-Chapter 4, a highly efficient farming location emerges. After your first encounter with Adam, the arena where the battle takes place becomes a continuous respawn point for small machines. Access this area via the Desert: Housing Complex fast travel point and proceed deeper into the ruins. The constant enemy respawns, while offering low-level machines and thus a low drop rate for Machine Arms, makes this the most effective early-game farming method. This location is also beneficial for farming Titanium Alloy.
Using a Drop Rate Plug-in Chip can slightly improve your yield.
