Based on a game developer's resume, Gotham Knights may be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. This intriguing possibility was highlighted by YouTuber Doctre81 on January 5, 2025.
The resume, belonging to a developer who worked at QLOC from 2018 to 2023, lists Gotham Knights among their projects, specifying it's destined for two unreleased platforms. One is potentially the original Nintendo Switch, given its past ESRB rating (since removed). However, performance issues on other consoles might have hindered a Switch port. The second, unreleased platform strongly suggests the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.
While no official announcements have been made by Warner Bros. Games or Nintendo, the evidence warrants consideration. The Switch 2 is the only highly anticipated, currently unreleased console. Furthermore, Gotham Knights' 2023 ESRB rating for the original Switch, though subsequently removed, adds weight to the speculation.
Released in October 2022 for PS5, Windows, and Xbox Series X, Gotham Knights was rumored for a Switch release following its ESRB rating. This never materialized, fueling speculation about a potential Switch 2 launch.
Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa's May 7, 2024, Twitter announcement promised further details on the Switch's successor "within this fiscal year" (ending March 2025).
