Pikmin Bloom Celebrates 3.5 Years with Nostalgic Nintendo Console Event

Pikmin Bloom is gearing up for an exciting 3.5th anniversary celebration next month, and Niantic is pulling out all the stops with a nostalgic twist. The festivities are set to begin with a new event on May 1st, 2025.

The Update Is a Cool Throwback to the Good Old Nintendo Days!

Over the years, Pikmin Bloom has delighted players with a variety of fun decor, such as Pikmin adorned with Mahjong Tiles and Playing Cards. For its 3.5th anniversary, the game is taking a trip down memory lane by reintroducing classic Nintendo game consoles from the 80s and 90s.

In addition, a special Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin is being added, paying homage to Nintendo's origins when they were known for manufacturing playing cards before venturing into video games. The designs of these cards are inspired by Nintendo's vintage playing card decks.

The anniversary event will run from May 1st until May 31st, 2025, providing a full month for players to engage in missions and collect unique new Pikmin. Completing Event Challenge missions will reward players with random items, including Game Button Cells, seedlings that can grow into Nintendo Consoles '80-'95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals.

During the event, Brilliant Mushrooms will appear, and smashing them will yield Mystery Boxes containing Game Button Cells, flower petals, and other goodies. The Nintendo Consoles '80-'95 and Playing Card Decor Pikmin are particularly effective at taking down these mushrooms.

Pikmin Bloom 3.5th Anniversary Also Brings Big Flowers in May

The month of May will see the blooming of large flowers such as carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses. These can be cultivated by planting red, yellow, white, or blue petals around them.

A nectar update will also be introduced, allowing fruits from mushrooms during May to produce nectar for both regular and special flowers, including carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses.

There's a lot more to look forward to, including a Community Day. Make sure to download Pikmin Bloom from the Google Play Store and get ready for the 3.5th anniversary celebration.
