PlayStation State of Play February 2025: Everything Announced

The PlayStation State of Play February 2025 showcase unveiled a plethora of exciting titles for the PS5. Highlights included new gameplay and release dates for highly anticipated games like Borderlands 4, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, and Days Gone Remastered. Beyond these, the presentation revealed a diverse lineup of new and returning franchises.

  • Saros (Housemarque): A new title from the creators of Returnal, set on the planet Carcosa and featuring permanent progression systems where death reshapes the world. Release: 2026. Saros

  • Days Gone Remastered (Bend Studio): The PS4 hit returns with enhanced visuals, VRR and PS5 Pro support, new game modes (permadeath, speedrun, enhanced photo mode), additional accessibility options, and a challenging Horde Assault mode. Release: April 25, 2025. PS4 owners can upgrade for $10. Days Gone Remastered

  • Shinobi: Art of Vengeance (SEGA/Lizardcube): A new entry in the classic franchise, launching August 29, 2025, on PS5 and PS4. Features unlockable abilities enhancing exploration and replayability. Shinobi: Art of Vengeance

The State of Play also showcased several other games with release dates or windows, including MindsEye, Metal Eden, Lost Soul Aside, Monster Hunter Wilds (with a spring update adding Mizutsune), Supermassive Games' Directive 8020, Dreams of Another, Darwin's Paradox, The Midnight Walk, Dave the Diver: Ichiban's Holiday DLC, Hell Is Us, and Five Nights at Freddy's: Secret of the Mimic. The February 2025 PlayStation Plus Game Catalog additions were also revealed.
