The real reward? Evolving these Pokémon during the event (or until 10:00 p.m. local time on February 16th) unlocks powerful moves. Evolving Karrablast yields an Escavalier knowing Razor Shell (35 power in Trainer Battles, 55 in Gyms/Raids), while evolving Shelmet grants you an Accelgor with Energy Ball (a hefty 90 power in all battle types).
A Special Research taskline awaits, offering encounters with Karrablast and Shelmet featuring special Dual Destiny-themed backgrounds, plus a Premium Battle Pass and Rare Candy XL. And that's not all! A Timed Research event follows, lasting a week after Community Day. Log in during the main event to unlock tasks rewarding further encounters with the special-background Karrablast and Shelmet.
