Pokémon Go Launches Wayfarer Challenge in Chile and India for Nominating PokéStops and Gyms

Niantic is thrilled to announce the launch of the Wayfarer Challenge in Pokémon Go, offering trainers in Chile and India an exciting opportunity to influence their local game environment while earning exclusive rewards. This event, running from March 7th to 9th in Chile and March 10th to 12th in India, invites players to participate in shaping their world by reviewing and approving Wayspot nominations through the Niantic Wayfarer platform.

By engaging in the review process, you can play a crucial role in adding new PokéStops and Gyms to Pokémon Go, enhancing the game's landscape in your area. Nominations can include real-world locations such as landmarks, sculptures, and street art, turning them into interactive points within the game.

The challenge is not only about contributing to the community but also about reaching collective milestones that unlock special rewards for all participants. If the community manages to resolve 5,000 nominations, everyone involved will receive 20 Ultra Balls, a Star Piece, an Incense, and a Poffin. Should the community hit 10,000 approvals, the rewards escalate to 25 Ultra Balls, two Star Pieces, two Incense, two Poffins, and a Lucky Egg.

Participation in the Wayfarer Challenge requires you to be at least level 37 in Pokémon Go and have an active Niantic Wayfarer account. If you're new to the platform, you'll need to complete the Wayfarer Orientation before you can start reviewing nominations. Additionally, you must have recently played in Chile or India or have set your Wayfarer Hometown or Bonus Location to one of these countries. To be eligible for rewards, you need to review at least 50 nominations, and at least one milestone must be achieved.

Simultaneously, the PokéStop Challenge event will take place from March 9th to 12th, exclusively in Chile and India. During this event, you'll earn 3x XP for your first visit to new PokéStops, 3x Stardust from opening Gifts, and encounter more Kecleon spawns. Engaging in Event Field Research can lead to encounters with Eevee, while Timed Research provides opportunities to catch other Pokémon.
