Leaked Gameplay Footage Surfaces for EA's Next Battlefield Game
Early gameplay footage from EA's upcoming Battlefield game has leaked online, following a closed playtest. As reported by TheGamer, a Twitch user, anto_merguezz, seemingly streamed footage from the Battlefield Labs playtest. While the stream itself is no longer available on the user's page, recordings have surfaced online, primarily circulating on Reddit.
The leaked footage appears to confirm the game's modern setting, a departure from the historical or futuristic settings of previous Battlefield titles, as previously hinted at by Vince Zampella. The clips showcase intense firefights and highlight the game's destructible environments. Initial fan reaction has been largely positive, a welcome change after the lukewarm reception of Battlefield 2042's launch.Last month's official unveiling revealed some key details, including the return of a traditional, linear single-player campaign—a feature notably absent from Battlefield 2042, much to the disappointment of many players.
EA currently anticipates launching its next Battlefield game in fiscal year 2026 (between April 2025 and March 2026). With the launch approaching, we can expect more official reveals soon. Given the current leak, it seems increasingly difficult for EA to prevent further unauthorized disclosures of Battlefield 6 (or its eventual title).
