Rainbow Six Siege X is set to launch globally in June 2025, following a closed beta phase. Ubisoft has heralded this update as the most significant content overhaul in the game's history. Among the highlights of Siege X is the introduction of the Dual Front game mode, which was available during the closed beta. This mode features intense 6-on-6 team battles on larger maps, requiring strategic coordination for attacking and defending different areas to complete objectives.

The Siege X update will not only introduce new gameplay elements but also revamp existing maps, refine the user interface, enhance the technical aspects of the game, and rebalance the online matchmaking system to better support new players.

On March 13, 2025, Ubisoft unveiled a gameplay trailer for Rainbow Six Siege X to coincide with the start of the closed beta. The trailer showcases the thrilling Dual Front mode, highlighting its new map and the dynamic 6-on-6 gameplay. Additionally, it teases enhancements to the core game, including technical upgrades, new gameplay features, and rewards for existing players. Excitingly, new players will have the opportunity to try the game for free during the beta period.

The closed beta for Rainbow Six Siege X ran from March 13 to March 19, and was accessible to select partner players who streamed the beta on Twitch. Viewers had the chance to earn their own access code to the closed beta by watching these streams, valid for the entire six-day duration. To participate, players needed to link their Twitch account with their Ubisoft Connect account. Notably, owning Rainbow Six Siege was not a prerequisite for joining the Siege X closed beta.
