Insomniac Games' Ted Price Reveals Unmade Resistance 4 Pitch

Insomniac Games founder and retiring president Ted Price recently revealed a favorite unproduced game concept during an interview with Kinda Funny Games: Resistance 4. While the pitch was deemed "wonderful," the timing and market conditions ultimately prevented its development.

PlayPrice expressed the team's enthusiasm for continuing the Resistance storyline, citing its compelling alternate history setting and the untapped potential of the Chimera's origins and future.

The Resistance series, a trilogy of first-person shooters for the PlayStation 3, follows an alternate 1951 where aliens invade the UK. Following the success of the Resistance games, Insomniac shifted focus to other projects, including the Marvel's Spider-Man series and newer Ratchet & Clank installments.

Price's retirement announcement earlier this year marked the end of his 30-year tenure at Insomniac. Chad Dezern, Ryan Schneider, and Jen Huang have been appointed as Co-Studio Heads. Insomniac's current and upcoming projects include the recently PC-released Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and the anticipated Marvel's Wolverine.
