Rockstar Releases Bully Anniversary Update After Six Years

Rockstar, the masterminds behind the GTA series, have just released an exciting Anniversary Edition update for Bully on mobile devices. After a six-year hiatus, this much-anticipated update is now exclusively available for mobile users, leaving console and PC gamers waiting for their turn.

Rockstar Hasn’t Forgotten about Bullworth Academy!

Bully: Anniversary Edition's latest update brings a host of enhancements, including new language support and a focus on improving game stability and fixing bugs. A notable change is the temporary disablement of Friends Challenges, ensuring a smoother gameplay experience while Rockstar fine-tunes this feature.

For Android users with compatible devices, the update introduces Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO), enhancing visual depth and realism. Additionally, the app icon has been refreshed, and both Android and iOS platforms now feature haptic feedback for a more immersive experience.

Several missions have been improved: 'That Bitch' now allows players to successfully pick Mandy’s locker, 'Weed Killer' progresses correctly even if the window is broken early, and 'The Rumble' no longer sees police cars falling through the floor. The update also addresses issues where enemies wouldn't attack Jimmy, ensuring balanced combat encounters. Crashes that could occur when starting a new game or loading a save from the pause menu have been resolved, providing a more seamless experience.

What Do Players Have to Say about Bully: Anniversary Edition?

While fans have been clamoring for Bully 2 for years, Rockstar seems focused on other projects. Reports suggest that a sequel was in development during the 2010s but was ultimately shelved in favor of Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA Online. With GTA 6 on the horizon, the prospects for Bully 2 seem slim, especially as many of the original developers have moved on from Rockstar. However, this new update for the Anniversary Edition offers mobile players a significant enhancement, even if it's not a full remaster or sequel.

For those new to the game, Bully offers Rockstar's unique take on a schoolyard sandbox, where you play as Jimmy Hopkins, a 15-year-old navigating the trials and tribulations of Bullworth Academy. With its signature humor and open-world mischief, it's a classic Rockstar experience.

So, if you're interested, head over to the Google Play Store to grab Bully: Anniversary Edition for €7.99, which also supports full gamepad functionality.
