SaGa Frontier 2 unfolds in the mystical world of Sandail, where magic is powered by a force known as Anima. The narrative primarily follows two protagonists: Gustave, a member of royalty who struggles with his inability to wield magic, and William Knights, a young adventurer from a lineage of diggers seeking ancient relics called Quells.
Gustave's journey begins with his banishment from the Kingdom of Finney due to his lack of Anima affinity, a critical skill in their society. On the other hand, William, or Wil, embarks on a quest to uncover the truth behind his parents' demise and the enigmatic relic known as the Egg, which has the power to influence minds.
SaGa Frontier 2: Remastered boasts upgraded graphics with higher resolution, bringing the beautiful watercolor backgrounds into sharp focus. The user interface has also been revamped for easier navigation while retaining the game's classic feel.
