Shiny Pokémon Coming Soon to Pokémon TCG Pocket!

Get ready for a dazzling update to Pokémon TCG Pocket, as The Pokémon Company introduces Shiny Pokémon with the upcoming Shining Revelry expansion! This addition is set to bring a whole new level of excitement to the digital card game, allowing players to experience the thrill of collecting and battling with these rare and shimmering versions of their favorite Pokémon.

When Are Shiny Pokémon Arriving in Pokémon TCG Pocket?

Mark your calendars for March 27th, 2025, as that's when the Shining Revelry expansion will launch, bringing over 110 new cards to the game. Among these, you'll have the chance to pull Shiny versions of iconic Pokémon like Charizard ex, Lucario ex, and Pachirisu. The digital format adds an extra layer of magic, making these Shiny cards shimmer when you tilt them. Additionally, starting April 1st, you can get your hands on a Shiny Charizard-themed display board and binder to showcase your collection.

But that's not all! Alongside the Shiny Pokémon, characters from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, including Tatsugiri, Sprigatito, and Iono, will be making their debut in Pokémon TCG Pocket. From March 28th to April 27th, new ex Starter Deck missions will be available, offering you the opportunity to earn a deck ticket. This ticket can be exchanged for one of nine starter decks, enhancing your gameplay experience.

Shiny Pokémon have long been a cherished part of the Pokémon TCG, first appearing in the Neo Destiny set from the second generation of the games. The Hidden Fates set later set a new standard for modern Shiny cards with its expansive Shiny Vault, and now, Pokémon TCG Pocket is set to continue this tradition with the Shining Revelry expansion.

Ranked Matches Are Finally Coming!

In addition to the Shiny Pokémon, Pokémon TCG Pocket is introducing ranked matches starting March 28th, running until April 27th. This first season will feature cards from the Shining Revelry expansion, and you'll be matched against players of similar skill levels. At the end of the season, you'll earn an emblem to proudly display on your profile, reflecting your final rank.
