On January 16th, 2025, following the Switch 2 announcement and the reveal of an April 2nd Direct, Pellen changed his profile picture to a slice of cake. A reverse image search linked the image to a Bon Appetit article featuring a Brooklyn Blackout Cake recipe, published on April 2nd, 2024.

Pellen also commented on the article with "mmmm tasty," leading dedicated fans to analyze the connection. One fan even vowed to bake the cake if Silksong news arrived by April 2nd, 2025, while another praised the cake's "silky texture," drawing parallels to the game.
