Following its June 2020 announcement and various teasers, skate. is finally open for playtesting on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. While a PC beta launch date remains unconfirmed, fans can register as Insiders to receive updates.

According to the game's official X (formerly Twitter) account, console playtesting has been underway since December, possibly even September, as evidenced by a recent highlight reel. Despite this, developer Full Circle continues to encourage registrations, as development actively progresses.

skate. is slated for Early Access launch sometime in 2025. This marks the franchise's return after nearly a decade since Skate 3, and will be available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms. Set in the fictional city of San Vansterdam, it's designed as a free-to-play, live-service game promising an "authentic evolution" of the nearly 20-year-old series, as detailed in a previous Full Circle YouTube interview.
