Next month, 22 games will exit the PlayStation Plus library, including Grand Theft Auto 5, Payday 2: Crimewave Edition, and the final playable versions of Sony’s own Resistance: Fall of Man and Resistance 2.
PlayStation Plus offers an online gaming service for PlayStation consoles, providing free monthly games, time-limited trials, multiplayer access, and exclusive discounts for members. Extra and Premium subscribers also gain access to a vast library of modern and classic titles.
As reported by Push Square, 22 games, including two prominent Sony PS3 titles, will leave the PS Plus Premium library on May 20.

Since Resistance: Fall of Man and Resistance 2 are no longer available for purchase on the PS Store, PS Plus Premium’s streaming service was the last way to play them without owning the original games and a functional PS3. Both titles, added to the library in late 2024, will be removed within a year of their inclusion.
The Resistance series, developed by Insomniac after its Ratchet and Clank work, features alternate-history first-person shooters. Three titles launched on the PS3 before Insomniac shifted focus to projects like Marvel’s Spider-Man and new Ratchet and Clank games.
While Sony rarely removes its own titles from PS Plus, it’s not unprecedented, as seen with the unexpected delisting of Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon: Forbidden West in August 2024. Unlike those games, which remain purchasable, Resistance: Fall of Man and Resistance 2 will vanish entirely from modern consoles.
Notably, Resistance 3 and Resistance: Retribution will stay on the service. Additionally, the newer first-party PS4 title InFamous: Second Son is also slated for removal.
Insomniac’s Resistance series has been inactive for years. In February, Insomniac founder Ted Price shared that efforts to develop Resistance 4 were unsuccessful, leaving the series sidelined alongside Guerrilla’s Killzone franchise.
