Squad Busters is expanding with a brand-new collaboration, and this one is a major surprise. Sega's legendary Sonic the Hedgehog is joining the fray on June 17th as the newest hero, with Tails and Knuckles backing him up as his Squaddies.
True to form, Sonic brings blistering speed and the power of his Super Sonic form for temporary invincibility. Using Turbo recharges this ability, and Sonic acts as a core component for Speedster Squaddies, significantly boosting their performance.
He's naturally accompanied by Tails and Knuckles. Tails pilots his Cyclone Walker, equipped with a powerful laser cannon. Knuckles, meanwhile, utilizes his signature brute strength, digging underground to avoid attacks before erupting beneath enemies to deliver crushing blows.
Gotta Go Fast!
To unlock the trio, dive into the new event beginning June 17th and collect rings from battles, the shop, and daily rewards. This will first unlock Sonic. Completing his Hero Journey then grants more rings to recruit Knuckles and Tails, with each character having their own evolution paths.
No Sonic event would be complete without his arch-nemesis. Dr. Eggman appears in the new "Dr. Eggman Attacks" modifier. This mode not only increases ring rewards but features Eggman roving the map in his Egg Mobile, engaging heroes in battle and even transforming into the fearsome Death Egg Robot.
