Beyond standard firearms, unique (named) weapons with special modifications or increased power are discoverable, the Cavalier sniper rifle being one example. This unique weapon features a red-dot sight instead of a traditional scope, making it effective at close to medium ranges. Here's how to acquire it.

Obtaining the Cavalier Sniper Rifle in Stalker 2

The Cavalier is located near the Military Unit within the Duga base. It's hidden inside a warehouse connected to a greenhouse. If you've previously retrieved the Journalist stash, accessing the base via the secondary entrance should be straightforward.

Accessing the Warehouse near Duga's Military Unit

Upon entering Duga, proceed towards the Military Unit building (marked on your map). Circumvent the building to reach the greenhouse at its rear. Beware of two Pseudogiants patrolling the area; they'll attack on sight. Approach the greenhouse cautiously to avoid confrontation.

Enter the greenhouse and proceed to the warehouse. Expect multiple rat swarms upon entry; these will inflict damage. Utilize the elevated green platforms at the warehouse's rear to evade the rats, or use a grenade to eliminate them.

Retrieve the Cavalier Rifle

After clearing the rats, examine the warehouse ceiling above the greenhouse entrance. You'll see yellow-painted wooden boards. Shoot these boards with your weapon; the Cavalier sniper rifle will fall.

Retrieve the weapon and safely exit Duga. The Cavalier can be upgraded by Screw, the technician at Rostok base. Its high damage and accuracy are further enhanced through upgrades and modifications. The Cavalier is ideal for players preferring red-dot sights on their sniper rifles, enabling effective close-to-medium range combat.
