- Initiating the "For Science!" Quest:
To begin, find Yaryk Mongoose in the Central Elevator area of the Chemical Plant. Approaching triggers a radio call between Mongoose and Skif, prompting Skif to meet him. Enter the Central Elevator, go left past the conveyor belts, ascend the rusty stairs, vault the railing, and speak with Mongoose. He'll explain the need to activate a second device on a nearby silo, initiating the quest.
- Reaching the Silo's Summit:
Exit the room and climb to the building's roof. Dispatch any rodents encountered. Climb through a broken window, descend the exterior ladder, and jump to the silo walkway. Equip your bolt-action weapon to counter electro anomalies. Proceed left along the silo's top to activate the device.
- Dealing with the Bloodsuckers:
Activating the device attracts Bloodsuckers. Eliminate them or evade them to reach Mongoose.
- Confronting Mongoose:
Upon reaching Mongoose, he'll explain the experiment's unintended consequences. Players can choose to kill Mongoose or accept the reward peacefully. Neither choice significantly impacts the game. Choosing the peaceful option rewards the Malachite Pass and coupons. The pass allows access to the STC Malachite base, unless already accessible through main missions.
