After months of speculation and leaks, Nintendo finally unveiled the Switch 2. A short teaser trailer, released January 16th, showcased a sleek new console retaining the hybrid functionality of its predecessor, but with significant upgrades.

The trailer highlighted a larger display, a wider, more stable kickstand, and magnetically connecting Joy-Cons—a notable change from the original Switch's rails. A new USB-C port on the console itself was also confirmed.

Backward compatibility is a key feature. Nintendo confirmed that both physical and digital Nintendo Switch games will be playable, though some titles may have limited or no support.
