Initially launched for a closed beta in China in September 2019 and later distributed by Tencent Games, the journey of commanding an army of handsome, personified dishes is drawing to a close. When Is the The Tale of Food Shutdown?
The official shutdown date for *The Tale of Food* is set for March 20th, 2025, at 10:00 AM (UTC+8). As of today, February 18th, in-game purchases have been disabled, marking the beginning of the end. New player registrations are no longer accepted starting today, and the game has been delisted from the Google Play Store. However, if you've already downloaded the game, you can continue playing until the servers shut down on March 20th.
What About the Jewels Collected in the Game?
If you purchased any jewels between January 9th and February 18th, 2025, you're eligible for a refund. You can request your refund through in-game support or by emailing the developers before March 20th. It's worth noting that the Japan server of the game was closed in April 2023, followed by the China server in June 2024. Now, the global version is set to follow suit.
