Thomas Waterzooi Unveils Unique Art Observation Game for Mobile

By JasonNov 27,2025

Thomas Waterzooi introduces a fresh twist on art-based puzzle gaming with a new title that invites players to observe rather than interact. Titled Please, Watch The Artwork, this game is set to launch on mobile devices soon, revealed during the Day of the Devs showcase at Summer Game Fest 2025.

Following the success of Please, Touch The Artwork in 2022 and its sequel in early 2024, Please, Watch The Artwork delves deeper into the series’ distinctive blend of art and psychology, offering a more introspective experience.

This spin-off does not replace the upcoming Please, Touch The Artwork 3, which Waterzooi assures is still in progress. Get a sneak peek of the reveal here.

Please, Watch The Artwork on Mobile Evokes Quiet Tension and Subtle Intrigue

At its heart, the game is a spot-the-difference challenge. You take on the role of a nightwatch at the MaMA (Museum of Animated Modern Art), monitoring surveillance feeds of paintings that subtly shift and transform.

Your task is to detect and report these changes before an unsettling atmosphere takes hold. Inspired by Edward Hopper’s works, the game animates over 40 reimagined paintings across six themed galleries.

Expect to explore scenes like empty diners, somber bedrooms, and dimly lit streets that pulse with life. Without music, the game relies on ambient sounds unique to each scene, where even audio cues become clues to uncover.

The game will be available on Android, iOS, PC, and Nintendo Switch, with a mobile release expected in October. Waterzooi’s ASMR-style announcement trailer adds an eerie charm. Visit the official website for more details.
