The Capcom Pro Tour has concluded, revealing the 48 competitors for Capcom Cup 11. While the focus is usually on the players themselves, let's examine the character choices among the elite.
Following the World Warrior circuit, EventHubs compiled statistics on the most frequently used Street Fighter 6 characters at the highest level of competition. This data offers a valuable insight into the game's balance. Remarkably, all 24 characters saw representation, although only one player opted for Ryu out of nearly two hundred participants (including eight regional finalists from 24 regions). Even the recently added Terry Bogard was selected by only two players.
Dominating the professional scene are Cammy, Ken, and M. Bison, each chosen as the main character by 17 players. There's a significant drop-off after this trio, with Akuma trailing behind at 12 players, followed by Ed and Luke (both 11), and JP and Chun-Li (both 10). Among the less frequently selected characters, Zangief, Guile, and Juri stand out, each selected by seven players.
Capcom Cup 11 is set for March in Tokyo, with a grand prize of one million dollars awaiting the champion.
