How to Craft a Fishing Rod
To embark on your fishing adventure, you'll first need to craft a Fishing Rod at the Supplies Workbench. Here's what you'll need:
- 20 Logs: Obtained by chopping down trees.
- 10 Copper Ingots: Created by smelting Copper Ore and Charcoal in a furnace.
Make sure you've unlocked the Essential Tools in the Crafting section of your Memetics menu to access the Supplies Workbench. Once ready, press 'F' to add the fishing rod to your crafting queue. The crafting time will be shown on the lower left side of your menu. Don't forget to collect your finished Fishing Rod from the workstation.

How to Store Your Caught Fish
Like other perishable items in the game, fish have an expiry date. However, you can extend their freshness with these storage methods:
- Refrigerator: Keeps fish fresh for a few extra days.
- Meat Drier: Dries the fish, preserving it indefinitely.
- Specimen Rack: Mount your fish to keep it fresh and edible as long as it's displayed. Note that you can only showcase one creature at a time.
- Fish Tank: Store up to four fish, depending on their size, in a fish tank.
