Unlocking the True Shu Ending in Dynasty Warriors: Origins
To access the true ending for Liu Bei's Shu faction in Dynasty Warriors: Origins, you must first complete the main Shu campaign. This unlocks replayability of past stages. Look for a gold banner next to "The Battle of Changban" – this signifies an alternate path.
The standard battle involves escorting Liu Bei to safety while Zhang Fei defends the bridge. However, for the true ending, you must defeat Cao Cao instead of ensuring Liu Bei's escape.
- Reduce Difficulty: Switch to "Historian" mode to make the battle more manageable.
- Strategic Partner: Choose Zhang Fei as your partner for a closer starting position to Cao Cao's forces.
Prepare your Musou Rage before engaging Cao Cao's army. You'll face two Grand Tactics: eliminating two officers and defeating 250 soldiers. A weapon like twin pikes is recommended for the soldier wave. Once Cao Cao's army is routed, defeating him should be relatively straightforward. A few additional missions follow before the true Shu ending is revealed.
