Uno! Mobile and other titles receive Beyond Color update

By AllisonMar 04,2025

Mattel163 enhances accessibility in its mobile card games with the Beyond Colors update. This update introduces colorblind-friendly decks to Phase 10: World Tour, Uno! Mobile, and Skip-Bo Mobile.

Instead of relying on traditional colors, the new decks utilize easily distinguishable shapes – squares, triangles, circles, and stars – to represent the different card colors. This allows players with colorblindness to readily identify each card.

This inclusive feature is activated through in-game account settings, under card theme options. Mattel163 collaborated with colorblind gamers to design these universally consistent symbols across all three titles. The company aims to achieve colorblind accessibility for 80% of its game portfolio by 2025. This initiative addresses the needs of approximately 300 million colorblind individuals worldwide, according to the Cleveland Clinic.

The updated games offer familiar gameplay: Uno! Mobile's classic card-discarding challenge, Phase 10: World Tour's phase-completion race, and Skip-Bo Mobile's unique solitaire twist. All three games are available on the App Store and Google Play. For more information, visit Mattel163's official website or Facebook page.
