Vocaloid star joins battle!

Fortnite's upcoming Festival event hints at a major collaboration with the globally renowned virtual singer, Hatsune Miku, generating significant excitement among fans. Leaks strongly suggest Miku's arrival in Fortnite on January 14th, featuring two distinct skins and the introduction of new musical tracks.

While typically reserved about confirming in-game content, Fortnite's social media presence has subtly acknowledged the collaboration. This confirmation stems from an exchange between the Fortnite Festival Twitter account and Hatsune Miku's official account (managed by Crypton Future Media). The playful back-and-forth, referencing a missing backpack, strongly implies Miku's imminent presence. This cryptic approach aligns with the Festival account's usual communication style, making the implication even more compelling.

The anticipation surrounding this collaboration is substantial. Fortnite leakers, such as ShiinaBR, predict a January 14th release date, coinciding with a scheduled game update. Two Miku skins are anticipated: a standard version showcasing her iconic attire (included with the Fortnite Festival Pass), and a "Neko Hatsune Miku" variant, available for purchase in the Item Shop. The origin of the Neko skin – whether a unique Fortnite design or inspired by existing Miku iterations – remains unconfirmed.

Furthermore, the collaboration is expected to introduce new music to Fortnite, potentially including tracks like Anamanguchi's "Miku" and Ashniiko's "Daisy 2.0 Feat. Hatsune Miku." This collaboration could significantly boost the popularity of Fortnite Festival, a relatively newer game mode. While popular, it hasn't yet reached the same level of hype as the core Battle Royale mode, Rocket Racing, or LEGO Fortnite Odyssey. The hope is that collaborations with major figures like Snoop Dogg and now Hatsune Miku will propel Fortnite Festival towards the popularity of classic rhythm games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band.
