While the World of Warcraft 20th Anniversary event has concluded, exciting activities continue! Bridging the gap before Patch 11.1's release later this year, the Turbulent Timeways event returns. This event offers a unique reward for players who consistently maintain the Mastery of Timeways buff.
Turbulent Timeways Event Details
Unlike typical, more spaced-out Timewalking events, Turbulent Timeways features five consecutive weeks of Timewalking dungeons (January 1st to February 25th). Each week highlights dungeons from a different expansion:
- Week 1: Mists of Pandaria (January 7th-14th)
- Week 2: Warlords of Draenor (January 14th-21st)
- Week 3: Legion (January 21st-28th)
- Week 4: Classic (January 28th-February 4th)
- Week 5: The Burning Crusade (February 4th-11th)
- Week 6: Wrath of the Lich King (February 11th-18th)
- Week 7: Cataclysm (February 18th-25th)
Completing a Timewalking dungeon grants a stack of the "Knowledge of Timeways" buff (two-hour duration, persists through death), providing a 5% experience bonus for questing and monster kills. Four stacks upgrade to "Mastery of Timeways" (three-hour duration, persists through death), boosting experience gains by 30%. Completing another Timewalking dungeon refreshes the buff timer.
To achieve Mastery of Timeways, maintain four stacks of Knowledge of Timeways without letting them expire. Avoid extended AFK periods to prevent stack loss. Expiration before reaching four stacks requires restarting the process.
Turbulent Timeways Rewards
Beyond leveling benefits, this event offers valuable rewards. Purchase the Sandy Shalewing mount from Timewalking vendors for 5,000 Timewarped Badges (a returning reward from the Dragonflight event).
Additionally, earn the new Timely Buzzbee mount by obtaining the Mastery of Timeways buff during five out of the seven event weeks.
