By ElijahMar 15,2025

Following the release of Dynasty Warriors: Origins, Koei Tecmo is launching another title today, introducing a fresh take on the musou genre. Warriors: Abyss, a new roguelite featuring familiar faces from the Warriors games, is now available.

Showcased during today's PlayStation State of Play, Warriors: Abyss allows players to assemble a squad of characters and battle through hordes of enemies. The isometric camera perspective evokes the feel of both Diablo and the acclaimed roguelite, Hades.

Gameplay footage revealed teams battling demonic forces from "hell," featuring characters like Zhou Yu, Nobunaga Oda, and Sun Shang Xiang from across the Warriors franchise.

PlayAccording to the PlayStation Blog, characters can be recruited and added to your team, providing additional summoning abilities. Players can utilize up to seven active heroes in battle, with a roster of 100 warriors available at launch.

Koei Tecmo plans to expand the character roster with additions from the Jin kingdom in Dynasty Warriors, followed by further waves of new characters. The developer hinted at the possibility of including characters from outside the Warriors series in future updates.

Warriors: Abyss is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. A Nintendo Switch release is scheduled for February 13, 2025. Players who purchase the game before March 14, 2025, will receive an in-game Dynasty Warriors Costume Set.
