• Enjoy lighthearted fun at the inaugural Jianghu Martial Arts Games

Known for its dynamic martial arts combat, expansive open world, and stunning visuals, Where Winds Meet has recently joined NetEase’s lineup of successful multiplatform titles. Now that it has launched on mobile, the game is preparing to roll out a significant update on January 9th!

Friday night plans are sorted for many players. But what exactly does this patch bring? To begin with, version 1.2 introduces the final volume set in Kaifeng, featuring a formidable new Campaign Challenge Boss named Supreme Freedom. Don’t forget to consult our Where Winds Meet code list for any free boosts that could give you an edge in this intense battle.

This emotional and visceral fight coincides with the reveal of Nine Mortal Ways Camp, a secret location nestled beneath Kaifeng filled with fascinating characters and activities. Additionally, players can tackle the new puzzle-filled Mistveil Prison cave for extra challenges!

Kung-fu action takes center stage

Furthermore, version 1.2 introduces Guild Battles, allowing you to compete against other players in large-scale kung-fu showdowns. During the preseason tournament, you’ll join guilds within your region and participate in six matches while developers gather feedback to refine this new feature.

Rounding out the January 9th update is a more relaxed event: the first Jianghu Martial Arts Games. This mode challenges players to apply their martial skills in quirky and entertaining ways, offering a perfect stress-relief break from the game’s tougher content.

While much attention has been on China’s booming gaming market, it’s easy to overlook the USA. However, as America celebrates its 250th anniversary, you should check out our interview regarding Echoes of Revolution, an upcoming XR title inspired by Assassin's Creed!
