Battle of Sudoku: A Multiplayer Sudoku Showdown

Love Sudoku? Want to challenge friends or teams? Battle of Sudoku is a multiplayer version of the classic puzzle game. The goal remains the same: fill a 9x9 grid with digits so each column, row, and 3x3 subgrid contains all digits from 1 to 9.

Gameplay:

Before starting, choose a difficulty level (1-6, 1 being easiest, 6 hardest). This determines the number of pre-filled digits. All players receive the identical puzzle.

Two game modes are available:

• Show Correct Numbers: Each player sees all correctly placed numbers by other players. Only the first player to correctly place a number earns points.
• Hidden Correct Numbers: Players cannot see each other's correct numbers; multiple players can earn points for the same correctly placed digit.

Time-Outs: Incorrect entries result in a time-out (configurable, default 30 seconds), preventing the player from making further moves.

Scoring: Correct numbers earn points based on difficulty level; incorrect numbers deduct half that amount. The player with the most points at the end wins. In "Hidden Correct Numbers" mode, the game ends when one player solves the puzzle, but this doesn't grant extra points; other players can still win based on their score.

Team Play: A team mode allows two teams to compete. Points are added to the team's total score. Notes and filled colors are shared within teams, enabling collaborative strategies.

Solving Tools:

• Pen Tool: Add notes (mini-numbers) to squares. Clicking a number already present removes it.
• Fill Mode: Change the background color of squares.
