Atomfall: New Gameplay Trailer Reveals Post-Apocalyptic England
Rebellion Developments' upcoming first-person survival game, Atomfall, plunges players into an alternate 1960s England devastated by nuclear war. A recently released gameplay trailer offers an extended look at the game's core mechanics.
The trailer showcases exploration of diverse environments, including quarantine zones, villages, and research bunkers. Survival hinges on resource scavenging, crafting, and combat against robotic and cultist enemies. The game blends melee and ranged combat, with players able to upgrade their arsenal of weapons – initially including a cricket bat, revolver, shotgun, and bolt-action rifle – and craft items like Molotov cocktails and sticky bombs. A metal detector aids in locating hidden supplies. Players can also enhance their abilities by investing in unlockable skills categorized as melee, ranged combat, survival, and conditioning.
Atomfall, reminiscent of titles like Fallout and STALKER, was initially unveiled during Xbox's Summer Game Fest showcase. While overshadowed by other major announcements, its inclusion in Xbox Game Pass on launch day generated significant interest.
This latest seven-minute trailer, released less than three months before the March 27th launch, significantly expands on the game's features. The game will be available on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC platforms. Rebellion plans to release another in-depth video soon.
