Big news for fans of the "Now You See Me" franchise: the third installment, officially titled "Now You See Me: Now You Don’t," is set to hit theaters on November 14, 2025, and a fourth film is already in development. This exciting update was shared by Adam Fogelson, the chair of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, during CinemaCon.

Director Ruben Fleischer, who has been tapped to helm both the third and fourth films, brings his experience from successful projects like "Zombieland," "Uncharted," and "Venom" to the franchise. The "Now You See Me" series has already amassed over $700 million at the global box office, showcasing its strong appeal and commercial success.

The original cast, including Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, and Morgan Freeman, will be joined by a new generation of illusionists portrayed by Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, and Ariana Greenblatt. Rosamund Pike will also star in "Now You See Me: Now You Don’t," adding to the ensemble.

Reuniting with Eisenberg and Harrelson, Fleischer expressed his enthusiasm for the project, noting the joy of combining heist elements with magic and working with such a talented cast. Bobby Cohen, the series' original developer and producer, will continue his role alongside Alex Kurtzman of Secret Hideout, with Meredith Wieck overseeing the project for Lionsgate.

Fogelson praised Fleischer's work on the third film, highlighting the increased stakes and scale, and expressed excitement for the future of the franchise. Fleischer himself is eager to continue the series, citing the fun and magical experience of directing these films.

Previous reviews from IGN have been mixed. "Now You See Me" received a 6.3/10, with criticism focusing on underdeveloped characters and a weak plot despite a promising premise and cast. The sequel, "Now You See Me 2," scored a 6.2/10, described as flashy but lacking substance. However, fans are hopeful that the new direction under Fleischer's guidance will bring fresh excitement and depth to the beloved series.
