A new trailer for the upcoming TV series "Alien: Earth" has surfaced online, providing fans with an exciting glimpse into the show. The trailer, which first debuted at Disney's 2025 Annual Meeting of Shareholders, was shared by the @CineGeekNews account on X/Twitter. It showcases the harrowing journey of a space ship's survivors as they navigate the aftermath of a Xenomorph attack and set a course for Earth.

The trailer introduces viewers to a new Xenomorph design while paying homage to Ridley Scott's 1979 horror classic. The setting inside a MU/TH/UR control room closely mirrors the iconic Nostromo scene where Ripley uncovers the dire situation faced by her crew. In "Alien: Earth," we see a desperate crew member pleading for help as the Xenomorph closes in, while Morrow, portrayed by Babou Ceesay, coldly reports that the "specimens are loose" and declares the crew dead, setting the ship's trajectory toward Earth. The trailer then shifts to six soldiers approaching what appears to be the crashed ship, hinting at the dangers they will encounter.

This trailer raises several intriguing questions: Will Morrow survive? What motivates him? Are there other surviving crew members, and could any of them be carrying a Xenomorph embryo? How will the soldiers meet their fate?

"Alien: Earth" follows the crash of a mysterious space vessel on Earth, where a young woman (played by Sydney Chandler) and a group of tactical soldiers make a chilling discovery that pits them against the planet's greatest threat.

Set in 2120, "Alien: Earth" takes place after the events of "Prometheus" and just two years before the original "Alien." This timeline has led fans to speculate about potential connections to the Nostromo's departure from Earth or Weyland-Yutani's initial encounters with the Xenomorphs. Notably, the recent interquel "Alien: Romulus" is set between the first two Alien films.

Showrunner Noah Hawley has explained his decision to steer away from the backstory established in "Prometheus," opting instead for the "retro-futurism" aesthetic of the original films. Despite discussions with Ridley Scott about various elements of the Alien series, Hawley chose to focus on the lore that resonated with the initial movies.

"Alien: Earth" is set to premiere on Hulu in the summer of 2025, and fans can also look forward to the upcoming "Alien: Romulus 2."
