Extinction concludes the main *ARK* narrative, presenting a unique challenge distinct from previous expansions like Scorched Earth and Aberration. In this map, Earth is a desolate, Element-infested wasteland where water is scarce, and survival demands creativity. As a lone survivor, you'll unravel the origins of the Ark system amidst a backdrop of robotic and organic creatures, including fearsome rexes. The Extinction expansion trailer showcases the eerie atmosphere and intense gameplay that await players.
Alongside the new map, several updates have been released. Players can now benefit from the Thick Skin insulation buff, enhancing survival chances. In multiplayer PVE, creatures will move from camped spots to prevent griefing, and there are now limits on the number of light sources to reduce spammy builds.
