The short answer is that you can do just about everything you could before. Assassin's Creed Shadows features a vast open world set in Feudal Japan, brimming with side content. Completing the main quest doesn't restrict you from any of this additional content, so you're free to continue exploring and immersing yourself in the world even after the main storyline concludes.

Moreover, post-launch, the Animus will introduce new weekly challenges for Assassin's Creed Shadows, ensuring that there's always something fresh to engage with, even after achieving 100% completion.

Assassin's Creed Shadows Epilogue and Endgame Explained

After rolling credits, you might find that your journey isn't quite over. In my experience, the credits rolled after completing the Shinbakufu Objective Board, along with Yasuke and Naoe's main quests. However, I had yet to unlock the trophy for finishing Act 3 or The Epilogue in Assassin's Creed Shadows. To experience the true ending and unlock the epilogue, you must complete the personal stories of Naoe, Yasuke, and Junjiro. Once these are finished, return to the Hideout and speak with Tomiko. This will lead you to the complete ending of Assassin's Creed Shadows and earn you the associated achievements.

Additionally, towards the end of the game, you can unlock exclusive gear themed around the Assassins for Naoe and the Templars for Yasuke. These armor sets come with perks that enhance each protagonist's unique playstyle, and their designs are sure to resonate with long-time fans of the Assassin's Creed series.

As for endgame content, players can continue to level up and progress towards the game's maximum level cap long after the credits have rolled.

Furthermore, Assassin's Creed Shadows will receive a story expansion in 2025 titled The Claws of Awaji.
