Avowed

Just one month following its launch and inclusion on Game Pass, Obsidian and Xbox Game Studios have released an exciting new trailer for Avowed. This trailer features a compilation of glowing reviews and quotes from top gaming journalists, underscoring the enthusiastic reception of this action-RPG.

The most recent update introduces support for DLSS 4, which includes Multi Frame Generation, Super Resolution, and DLAA. These advancements significantly boost the game's performance, with NVIDIA showcasing potential frame rate increases of up to three times at 4K resolution, reaching as high as 340 FPS. Additionally, the developers have hinted at forthcoming announcements regarding future support and the game's development roadmap in the upcoming weeks.

This update goes beyond just technical enhancements; it also enriches the player experience. Players will now gain an extra talent point for every five levels they advance, and those who have already made progress will automatically receive these points upon loading the game. For keyboard and mouse users, there's now an option to toggle between walking and running. A new accessibility feature also allows for increased font sizes in documents, guides, and other in-game text, making the game more accessible to a wider audience.

While Avowed hasn't left critics completely speechless, it has certainly impressed with strong reviews across the board. Digital Foundry went as far as to call the game a technical "triumph," further cementing its status as a notable achievement from Obsidian.
