Bendy and the Ink Machine is making a mobile comeback with Bendy: Lone Wolf, arriving on iOS, Android, Switch, and Steam in 2025. This new title adopts the gameplay style established by Boris and the Dark Survival, promising an expanded experience.
If you were around in the mid-2010s, you likely remember the quirky survival horror that was Bendy and the Ink Machine. Its episodic structure, unique rubber-hose-style enemies and environments, and compelling storyline captivated players. Now, it's returning to mobile!
The reveal trailer (linked below) showcases Bendy: Lone Wolf's top-down, isometric gameplay. Players seemingly control Boris the Wolf, navigating the perilous Joey Drew Studios.
The original Bendy and the Ink Machine, along with spin-offs Nightmare Run and Boris and the Dark Survival, are already available on mobile. Lone Wolf appears to borrow heavily from Dark Survival, though its exact relationship—whether a definitive version or a new take—remains unclear.
A New Ink-redible Chapter?
Regardless, Bendy and the Ink Machine maintains significant popularity since its initial release, considered a pioneer of the mascot horror genre alongside the iconic Five Nights at Freddy's.
Bendy: Lone Wolf's success will depend on its execution. While not the franchise's first foray into isometric survival horror featuring Boris, its multi-platform release (including Steam and Switch) suggests lessons learned from the previous mobile iteration will translate into a potentially more terrifying experience.
