Reaching Bloodmoon Island in Divinity: Original Sin 2
Bloodmoon Island, shrouded in Deathfog and with its connecting bridge destroyed, presents a challenge in Divinity: Original Sin 2. This guide details the methods to overcome this obstacle and access the island's quests and storyline advancements.
Method 1: The Spirit Bridge
The remnants of the destroyed bridge lie northeast of Cloisterwood, near Jahan and Witch Alice. Using Spirit Vision reveals the broken pathways. Crossing requires:
-
Gloves of Teleportation: These allow teleporting party members individually across the gaps.
-
Translocation Skills: Skills like Phoenix Dive, Cloak and Dagger, or Tactical Retreat enable teleporting, but may be limited by party composition.
-
Teleporter Pyramids: Two pyramids are needed. One companion uses translocation to reach the other side, then the rest teleport using the pyramids.
-
Fast Travel: Once a companion reaches the island and discovers the waypoint, the rest of the party can fast travel.
Method 2: The Ferry (Fane's Advantage)
A pier northwest of Cloisterwood houses an undead ferryman. Fane, being undead and immune to Deathfog, can use the ferry. However, this will kill other party members. Fane can then reach the waypoint and allow the others to fast travel.
Method 3: The Ferry (Without Fane)
If Fane isn't in your party, using Teleporter Pyramids is necessary:
- Equip a companion with a pyramid.
- The companion takes the ferry, dying upon arrival.
- Use the second pyramid to teleport to the deceased companion.
- Resurrect the companion.
Recommendation: Unless you specifically want to utilize the ferry method, the spirit bridge is generally the faster and safer route to Bloodmoon Island.
Caution: Avoid attacking the Undead Ferryman unless you've saved your game. He retaliates with Deathfog, instantly killing those within range. Defeating him yields a Soothing Cold skillbook, a belt, and 3,750 XP.
