In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, food poisoning is a serious threat. This guide explains how to cure it and prevent it in the future.
Curing Food Poisoning
The only cure for food poisoning is a digestive potion. There's no waiting it out; Henry will die. You can obtain a digestive potion in two ways:
-
Purchase: Most apothecaries sell digestive potions for a few groschen. Check those in Troskowitz, Trosky Castle, and the Nomads’ Camp.
-
Brew: Purchase the recipe from an apothecary and brew your own. This is the more sustainable solution. You'll need two thistles, two nettles, water, and one charcoal. The recipe is:
- Boil two thistles in water for two turns.
- Grind the nettles and add them to the cauldron, boiling for one turn.
- Grind the charcoal and add it.
- Pour the potion. Note: Bozhena's hut offers a peaceful alchemy station; using others may anger shopkeepers.
Preventing Food Poisoning
To avoid food poisoning, always check the "Freshness" meter on consumable items in your inventory. A red meter indicates a risk of food poisoning. Only consume items with a white freshness meter.
Consider using perks that slow food spoilage, or preserve food by cooking or drying.
