One More Level, renowned for the critically acclaimed Ghostrunner series, has unveiled a new project: Cyber Slash. This upcoming title marks a significant departure from the studio's cyberpunk roots, instead transporting players to a dark, alternate 19th century, a twisted vision of the Napoleonic era.
The Ghostrunner games, known for their demanding blend of precise combat, agility, and quick reflexes, averaged impressive scores of 81% and 79% (first game) and 80% and 76% (sequel) from critics and players. Cyber Slash, however, promises a different kind of challenge.

While still featuring core mechanics like parrying and exploiting enemy weaknesses, Cyber Slash will incorporate a unique progression system based on mutations, setting it apart from traditional Souls-like gameplay. The game will pit legendary heroes against terrifying, unknown forces in an epic, action-packed adventure. Note that One More Level is also developing Project Swift, but its release is not expected until 2028. The recently revealed artwork strongly suggests the focus is currently on Cyber Slash.
