Days Gone Remastered: Enhanced PS5 Experience with New Modes and Features

Sony's State of Play February 2025 showcase revealed a remastered edition of Bend Studio's post-apocalyptic adventure, Days Gone, launching on PlayStation 5. This enhanced version boasts significant upgrades, including VRR and PS5 Pro support, but the real highlights are its new gameplay features.

Prepare for a challenge with the inclusion of permadeath and speedrun modes. A refined photo mode and expanded accessibility options cater to a wider range of players. Horde Assault, a new arcade mode, throws Deacon St. John into even larger hordes of Freakers than before.

Days Gone Remastered arrives on April 25, 2025. PS4 owners can upgrade for $10. Watch the debut trailer below:

This release marks another step in Sony's initiative to bring popular PS4 titles to the PS5, offering enhanced experiences. It joins other upgraded games like The Last of Us Part I and Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered.

PC gamers aren't left out. While Days Gone is already available on PC, the $10 Broken Roads DLC will provide access to the new modes, enhanced photo mode, DualSense support (where applicable), and the improved accessibility features.

A PlayStation.Blog post delves deeper into the improvements. Bend Studio highlights the PS5-optimized visuals, selectable between Performance and Quality modes. PS5 Pro users will experience further visual enhancements, along with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers via the DualSense controller.

Days Gone Remastered will be available for $49.99. Pre-orders begin tomorrow, offering eight PSN avatars and five early in-game unlocks as bonuses. For a comprehensive overview of the State of Play announcements, check out our roundup here.
