How to Beat All Monsters in E.R.P.O.
New monsters are regularly added to E.R.P.O., so we recommend bookmarking this page for future reference—we'll be updating it frequently with new strategies and monster guides. Below, you'll find detailed tips and tricks for surviving each monster currently in the game.
While most monsters have unique behaviors and weaknesses, there are general methods you can use to deal with them:
Melee Combat Tactics
You can engage monsters head-on using melee weapons like the Machete or Hammer. These can be purchased from the shop for 10k–20k cash and will appear in your next level. Pick them up using M1 and swing to damage enemies. Be cautious when fighting ranged attackers like the Huntsman. A hit-and-run strategy works best to avoid taking too much damage. Don’t forget to carry healing packs for emergencies.
Grenades and Mines
For safer engagements, use Grenades and Mines—available in the shop. To use a Grenade, pick it up with M1, unscrew it with E, then throw it or leave it on the ground and step away before it detonates. Grenades can instantly kill weaker monsters and heavily damage tougher ones. Mines function similarly but must be placed strategically and triggered when a monster steps on them.
Monster Brawl Strategy
Use one monster against another. For example, bait a Huntsman into shooting by making noise behind another monster—the attacker may accidentally hit its own kind. You can also pull Reapers during their attack animations to cause them to collide with other monsters.
Now, let’s dive into each monster and how to defeat them effectively.
Robe Guide (Ghost)

The Robe is a shadowy entity that will grab and damage you on contact. Avoid direct confrontation—your best bet is to crouch and hide or kite it around the map. Alternatively, place two Grenades or Mines and lure it toward them. Melee combat is risky due to the high damage output of the Robe. Also, avoid staring at its mask—it moves faster and teleports more aggressively if you do.
Reaper Guide

The Reaper resembles a tattered doll with spinning sword arms that slash at close range. While it can be kited like the Robe, it doesn't teleport. It's relatively easier to take down with melee weapons. One Grenade or a couple of solid hits with a weapon should eliminate it. Grenades and Mines also stun the Reaper, giving you an advantage.
Apex Predator Guide (Duck)

These small, seemingly harmless ducks are non-aggressive unless provoked—such as by grabbing or damaging them. Once agitated, they fly and chase you, biting for minor damage. They won’t stop pursuing you even if you hide. Your best move is to outrun them or strike them down quickly with a melee weapon. Grenades are effective but excessive given their low HP.
Huntsman

The Huntsman is a blind enemy armed with a deadly gun that can one-shot you. He detects sound, especially voice chat or fast movement nearby. Crouch (C key) and hide under tables to remain undetected. Never attempt melee combat—he has auto-aim and will instantly kill you. Instead, plant a Mine near his location or toss a Grenade while crouched. The explosion will deafen him for 6 seconds, allowing you to safely approach with a melee weapon.
