Remedy Entertainment's annual report reveals significant progress on several key projects. Control 2 has cleared the concept validation phase and is now in full production, a major step forward for the highly anticipated sequel.
Alongside Control 2, two other titles are actively under development: FBC: Firebreak and the remakes of Max Payne 1+2. These projects, previously in the pre-production stage, have advanced considerably. However, the Tencent collaboration, Project Kestrel, has been cancelled.
All current projects utilize Remedy's proprietary Northlight engine, previously showcased in Alan Wake 2 and other successful titles.
Control 2, boasting a €50 million budget, will be self-published by Remedy and released on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. FBC: Firebreak, with a €30 million budget, will launch on PlayStation and Xbox subscription services, alongside Steam and the Epic Games Store.
While the budget for the Max Payne 1+2 remakes remains undisclosed, Rockstar Games is fully funding their development and marketing, confirming their AAA status.
