Relic Entertainment, the studio behind Company of Heroes, is venturing into a new, smaller-scale turn-based strategy game: Earth vs. Mars. Launching this summer on PC via Steam, this title puts players in the heart of a desperate battle for Earth's survival. Martians, having secretly abducted humans and animals for their "atomic essence," have launched a full-scale invasion. Players lead Earth's resistance, commanding forces against advanced Martian weaponry, including saucers, grav-tanks, and elite alien warriors. A key element is the Splice-O-Tron, a device used to create bizarre and powerful creature-human hybrids—think Squirrel-Cows, Human-Rhinos, and Cheetah-Flies—to bolster your defenses. The gameplay draws inspiration from the classic Nintendo DS title, Advance Wars.

Relic CEO Justin Dowdeswell explains, “We’re thrilled to put a Relic spin on the Advance Wars style of gameplay, incorporating our signature style while also paying homage to our earlier titles. This is part of our new strategy: alongside our traditional RTS games, we’ll be developing smaller, indie-style titles to explore new genres, experiment creatively, and release games more frequently.” Add it to your Steam wishlist today!
