NCSoft has announced the end of service (EOS) for its multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game, Battle Crush. This is surprising, given the game never reached a fully polished launch. Following a global test in August 2023 and early access in June 2024, the game is closing its doors just months later.
Battle Crush's End Date
The official shutdown date for Battle Crush is November 29th, 2024. In-game purchases have ceased, but refunds are available for purchases made between June 27th, 2024, and October 23rd, 2024.
Refund requests for Android and Steam players can be submitted from December 2nd, 2024, to January 2025. Players should download any desired content before November 28th, 2024, as the game will become inaccessible afterward.
The official website will remain online until May 30th, 2025, for any necessary support. Social media accounts and Discord will be deactivated on January 31st, 2025.
Unexpected Closure?
The announcement is undoubtedly disappointing for players who invested time and effort into Battle Crush. However, those following the game's development may not be entirely shocked. The gameplay, while enjoyable, suffered from occasional clunkiness and pacing issues. Battle Crush lacked the polish needed for long-term success, ultimately leading to its EOS.
