Soon, the beloved farming life simulator is set to become even more immersive. Giants Software, the developers behind the series, have officially unveiled Farming Simulator VR, a virtual reality experience that plunges you directly into the heart of agriculture.
This upcoming addition is described as a "brand new" farming experience. Players will independently manage the sowing and harvesting of crops using equipment, tend to vegetables in greenhouses, and maintain their vehicles, all in the pursuit of developing and prospering their own farm.
The announcement has been met with enthusiasm from most fans of the series. They propose using Farming Simulator VR as an educational tool and are curious about one pressing question: What happens if you get in the way of a working combine harvester?
Farming Simulator VR is slated for release on February 28 and will be exclusively available on Meta Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest 3S, and Quest Pro devices.
What can future virtual farmers expect? The developers have promised a comprehensive agricultural experience, including:
- A full cycle of agricultural work from planting to harvesting, packing, and selling;
- The opportunity to grow tomatoes, eggplants, strawberries, and other crops in greenhouses;
- Official machinery from renowned manufacturers such as Case IH, CLAAS, Fendt, and John Deere;
- The ability to repair and maintain machines in your own workshop;
- An added layer of realism with the option to pressure wash your machines.
