Floatopia Is Coming To Android, And It Has Strong Animal Crossing Energy

NetEase Games unveiled their captivating new life sim, Floatopia, at Gamescom, promising a multi-platform release, including Android, sometime in 2025. This charming game invites players to explore a whimsical world of floating islands and eccentric characters. The trailer depicts a picturesque setting where players can farm, fish, and personalize their airborne island home.

A Unique Apocalypse

The trailer opens with an end-of-the-world scenario, but fear not! This apocalypse is more akin to "My Time At Portia" than "Fallout." The new world consists of fragmented lands suspended in the sky, inhabited by humans with unique superpowers – some more impressive than others.

Players become Island Managers, engaging in activities reminiscent of "Animal Crossing" and "Stardew Valley." Cultivate crops, fish amongst the clouds, and meticulously design your island home. The ability to travel to diverse locations and meet new individuals adds an adventurous element.

Social Interaction and Customization

Floatopia offers ample opportunities for socializing, whether it's embarking on shared adventures, hosting island parties, or simply showcasing your meticulously crafted paradise to friends. Multiplayer is entirely optional, allowing for a solitary experience if preferred.

The game features a diverse cast of characters, each with their own unique quirks and superpowers, reminiscent of "My Hero Academia."

While a precise 2025 release date remains unconfirmed, pre-registration is available on the official website.
