In Freedom Wars Remastered, every action you take is geared towards reducing your staggering one million-year sentence, which you received simply for being born. As you work tirelessly to shorten your prison term, you're also focused on boosting your CODE level to enhance your life as a sinner.
Your CODE level is crucial as it unlocks more Entitlements, which can significantly ease your gameplay. These Entitlements might allow you to run longer or upgrade your comrades and gear, making battles against Abductors much more manageable. As you progress, you'll navigate through multiple CODE levels; let's dive into how many there are.
How Many CODE Levels Are In Freedom Wars Remastered
In Freedom Wars Remastered, there are a total of eight CODE levels for players to advance through. Once you elevate your CODE level, there's no going back, so you don't have to worry about inadvertently increasing your prison sentence beyond what's necessary for your current CODE, especially in Deadly Sinner Mode. Each time you rank up, you'll unlock more Entitlements to purchase and gain access to additional operations to tackle.
How To Increase Your CODE Level In Freedom Wars Remastered
To check the conditions for upgrading your CODE level, simply talk to your Accessory in your cell and select "Check CODE Upgrade Conditions". Typically, you'll need to reach specific year milestones in your prison sentence and unlock certain Entitlements. It's wise to review this menu regularly from your cell to avoid spending all your Entitlement Points on less beneficial upgrades, as you might need to donate resources to acquire more points later.
Donating just one high-end resource or weapon can often provide enough points for numerous Entitlements.
While meeting all the listed conditions is essential for ranking up your CODE, your current CODE level is also intricately linked to the main storyline. You must complete main story missions and operations, alongside fulfilling these conditions, to pass the CODE exam, which is integrated into the story. Sometimes, the main story itself serves as a substitute for the CODE exam, propelling you to the next level.
Operations are categorized by CODE levels, serving as a general indicator of difficulty. You'll complete most operations as you advance through the story of each CODE, though occasionally, a few optional operations will become available after you progress. These can be particularly helpful for those who might not feel fully prepared for the challenges of their new CODE level.
