Rome's newest attraction: GAMM, the Game Museum! Now open to the public in Piazza della Repubblica, this expansive museum is the creation of Marco Accordi Rickards, a writer, journalist, professor, and CEO of Vigamus.
Rickards, a passionate advocate for video game preservation, describes GAMM as a captivating journey blending history, technology, and interactive gameplay. The museum builds upon the success of Vigamus, another Roman gaming museum that has welcomed over two million visitors since 2012.
GAMM boasts 700 square meters of exhibit space across two floors, divided into three themed areas:

GAMMDOME: An interactive digital playground featuring historical gaming artifacts – consoles, donated items, and more – alongside interactive stations. The experience is built around the 4E concept: Experience, Exhibition, Education, and Entertainment.

Path of Arcadia (PARC): A nostalgic trip back to the golden age of arcade games, showcasing classic titles from the late 1970s, 1980s, and early 1990s.

Historical Playground (HIP): A deep dive into game mechanics, design, and structure, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the evolution of gaming.
