Garena's Delta Force: A Global Tactical FPS Launch
Garena is bringing the tactical first-person shooter (FPS), previously known as Delta Force: Hawk Ops, to a global audience. A PC Open Beta kicks off December 5th, 2024, with mobile open beta following in 2025. Originally developed by NovaLogic and later acquired by Tencent's TiMi Studios (creators of COD Mobile), the game now sees Garena partnering for its global launch.
Cross-progression between PC and mobile is a key feature. The planned 2025 rollout includes Southeast Asia, Taiwan, Brazil, Central and South America, the Middle East, and North Africa.
Garena's Delta Force Game Modes:
- Warfare: Large-scale 32v32 battles across land, sea, and air. Players are divided into four-person squads.
- Operations: A three-player extraction shooter mode featuring high-stakes missions, loot scavenging, enemy evasion, and timed extractions. Players can acquire enemy gear and supplies. Bosses, restricted areas, and special missions add to the challenge. A rare item, the MandelBrick, unlocks exclusive skins but reveals the player's location.
A Nod to the Original:
This new Delta Force iteration boasts sharp, realistic graphics and retains the tactical depth of the original 1998 release, promising a nostalgic experience for longtime fans.
